Many new creations....

Not sure if anybody is still checking in here but I thought I give it a new try and write some new blog post. Life can get pretty busy and the different social media places all take a share of my time.

Over the last half year I have done a bunch of new needle felted critter, mostly custom orders. I'm still making my Waldorf inspired dolls and toys as well, this is just something I also really enjoy

I just love working in this medium. The way the creation slowly comes together simply from wool and felting needles is just fantastic. Right now I'm not using any wire armature in my animals unless they have thin legs like the monarch butterfly for example. I'm sure I will experiment with it in the future as well . I have a bunch of ideas that will most likely need armature as well.

So here a bunch of my resent creations.   You can click on the images to see more pictures of each of the critters.  :)

A Knight

little-knight1.jpg

Meet my little knight!

He is a proper knight  with chain mail, helmet and cape.

Not sure from where he is , but I think there are some Roman influences in his heritage.

However, I think he looks very smart.

The bag is made from cotton velour inside and out, has a loop with button so it

can be attached to a belt and draw strings to close it.

Big enough for the knight to be carried in or for some treasures.

Now I can see a little boy going on adventures with his

brave friend the little knight.

What do you think?

SOLD

Started working on new Pocket Dolls

I had not really planned to make dolls right now, but then last night I just felt like making a few pocket dolls. Maybe it has to do with the fact that the market season starts this Saturday and I would have loved to be part of it again. With all that is going on with our up coming move there was just no way for me to make enough to sell. Still , it would have been nice to see what a second season would have been like after my first was so good . I had so many local customers that ordered after the market season ended as well.

Maybe I have a chance to sell local in Yellowknife as well......

So here are the 3 pocket dolls I have been working on. For one of them I have something different planned. Something I have not done before.

No, I won't say what!  I'll show it when I'm done.   ☺

I love being creative and able to do different things, go from felting to doll making, then to making critter and back to felting or whatever else I want to do.......
